Clinton Erie Associates Inc., a Livingston County company, has requested a state permit to apply herbicide on 74 acres it owns along Armitage Road in Tyre.

The permit would allow herbicide application via drone to control invasive Phragmites australis on the site, located about a mile west of Route 89.

Documents related to the application and draft permits are open for public inspection at the DEC Region 8 office in Avon.

Appointments can be scheduled by contacting Courtney Scoles Telvock at 585-226-5400 or [email protected]. Written comments on the proposed project are due by Nov. 7.
