New York students can apply to SUNY schools for free starting next week - syracuse.com

Students in New York state can apply to up to five colleges in the State University of New York system without an application fee starting next week.

SUNY’s free application week runs from Oct. 21 to Nov. 3 and allows students to apply to colleges without paying the $50 fee to apply. The program, which SUNY has run for the past two years, aims to help students save money and encourage them to apply as early as possible, said John B. King, the chancellor of the SUNY system.
