Prince William Says His Kids Fight Over the Remote Control, Just Like Yours Do | Vanity Fair

On Wednesday, Prince William hosted a crossover event for two of his patronages, BAFTA and the Royal Africa Society, to celebrate the Prince William BAFTA Bursary fund, which helps young people break into the industry. During his outing, he spoke to students at BAFTA’s National Film and TV School, revealing that his children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis occasionally fight over what to watch on TV.

According to the Evening Standard, William told a group of students that “the children wrestle over the remote control.” He told another group of students about his own love for movies. “What I love about films is there’s so many different varieties. You can have such an extreme mix,” he said. “That’s what makes it exciting—you don’t know what’s coming next.”

He also spoke to director Paul Greengrass, and shared his enthusiasm for the Jason Bourne series of films starring Matt Damon. William said, “Another Bourne! Another Bourne!” (Later, Greengrass demurred. “Not for me,” he said. “They need somebody younger.”) He also spoke to actors Stephen Merchant, Andy Serkis, and Celia Imrie.

In July, William and Kate Middleton shared a photo on social media, which showed Charlotte and Louis watching the game from home in front of a relatively small television set. During a past BAFTA event in 2022, William mentioned that he and his wife try to regulate their young children’s screen time. “They’re fascinated by it,” he said of their love for TV.
